Even though we are already halfway through the year, the APB Bodyboard World Tour still lies dormant, but it is set to wake with a roar next week when the first event on the 2015 calendar gets underway in Brazil. The Itacoatiara Pro kicks off from the 2nd of July and runs until the 12th, where the world’s best Bodyboarders will be keen to get the party started and get stuck into the wedging beachbreak. Much like busses, when the first event arrives it is quickly followed by a second, the Arica Chilean Challenge from July 17th.
The long-range surf forecast isn’t looking too favourable at this moment in time, but when things do get started you will be able to tune in and watch the event via a live webcast from Itacoatiara. The 2014 champion, Amaury Laverhne will be keen to get his title defence underway and we are expecting to see Pierre Louis Costes and an in form Jacob Romero put in some stellar performances this year, we are also looking forward to seeing wildcard and local hero Guilherme Tamega put on his competitive vest again.
