Following the ASP’s announcement that they have secured overall Tour sponsorship from technology giant Samsung, today they have made an even better revelation. We are stoked to tell you that we bring news of a return to Jeffreys Bay for the 2014 World Tour, a stop that is a favourite with both competitors and fans alike.
At the expense of the Balinese leg, it has been decided that the sixth stop on this years event calendar will be at J-Bay South Africa and will take place between the 10th and 20th of July. The grinding right hand point break is regarded as one of the best spots in the world and it has been sorely missed since it was dropped as a venue in 2011, and we can be guaranteed of mouth watering clash of the pros.
With the return to J-Bay and the Samsung sponsorship the ASP certainly look to be upping their game in 2014 and although Bali was a great spot for the Tour to visit and enjoyed by most, surely the return to Jefferys Bay is a positive step? The short video below entitled “The Return to J-Bay” will give a hint of what to expect this July. Let us know if you think it is about time the tour returned to J-Bay or should the ASP have stuck with Bali?
