Butler Beach, St Augustine in Florida is gearing up to host the first ever Barrels for Boobs Surf Contest on Saturday March 28th. The event is being put together by the Wahines of the Waves, an all girls surf, skate and wakeboard group from the University of Florida, to not only create a fun surf competition but to also raise funds and awareness for the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Barrels for Boobs surf competition is an open event for all to attend and will not only see competitions for men and women beginners, but also men and women shortboard and longboarders and tandem surfing. There will also be a competition to find the ‘Weirdest thing you can Surf’! Although open to the public, registration must be done in advance for $15 and as well as the surfing events, there will also be a free Yoga session at 8am, musicians, raffles and an after party for you all to enjoy.
The Boobs for Barrels Surf Contest is for a fantastic cause and the girls have secured many sponsors including Indo Boards, O’Neill, Sun Bum as well as many others and you can show your support and find out more about the inaugural contest by heading over to the official Facebook page here.
