In a previous article we brought you the news of the latest fitness buzz called Surfset that was sweeping the USA. Surfset is an exercise regime that utilises a surfboard mounted on a floating cradle, which simulates the sport of surfing and is a fantastic way to improve balance and to work on core strength. We were hopeful that Surfset would reach the UK and now we can report that Beach Fit Gym in Shoreham is the first gym in the UK to offer Surfset classes.
Beach Fit Gym specialises in ‘bringing land and water together in fitness’ and offers a range of classes with state of the art equipment, from kettlebells to Surfset, to help improve stamina and fitness and improve your water time. The Surfset classes are £10 for a 45-minute class, and there is the option to book 6 sessions at a discounted rate of £50, the classes are nice and small with a maximum of four participants. There is no contract and no joining fees and you can take out Beach Fit memberships from £24.95 a month.
To find out more about Beach Fit Gym and their Surfset classes, head over to their brand new website here and to give you a flavour of exactly what Surfset is all about we have embedded an entertaining video of the equipment in action below. Let us know if you get down to Beach Fit Gym and try out the Surfset workout and how it compares to a regular surf session.
