I’m getting too old for all this! What a fantastic night everyone had here at Boardmasters 2014 although my head and liver don’t like me too much today. What with a day in the Sun and evening in the rain, and a night with Snoop Dog dazzling us with his silky slick lyrics and swagger its hard to think that this final day is underway.
Saturdays headline act, Snoop Lion had the crowd in the palm of his hand as he delighted the masses in the pouring rain with classics such as Gin and Juice and Drop It Like It’s Hot and as he smoked a funny looking cigarette the crowd cheered in unison. As Snoop closed his set, he told the crowd to smoke weed and appeared with his own custom and heavily blinged Surfboard and promised he would attend Boardmasters again, whenever asked.
A day at Fistral is in order to see the final of the Surfing competitions and for the local crowd to cheer on Ben Skinner in the Davidoff Cool Water Men’s Longboard Pro and Ben Baird in the Mens Open. Unfortunately the tail end of Hurricane Bertha has put the spoils on the Surf and Fistral is looking pretty messy and will be hard work for all the competitors.
Fistral hill will see the Skateboard competition wrap up today and then all attention will move back to the Watergate Festival site for the very talented George Ezra and the eagerly anticipated Bastille to bring Boardmasters 2014 to a close. Expect some messy pictures!
