Exciting news for UK Bodyboarders has reached us this morning with the announcement that The Bodyboard Depot are expanding and opening a new shop and distribution centre on the South Coast at Wareham just outside Poole and Bournemouth. Successful local businessman and keen sponger Guy Sowry will head up the new Bournemouth Bodyboard Depot, with the store opening in May.
Bournemouth is at the centre of Bodyboarding on the South Coast and the new shop and distribution centre will be easily accessible to the Bodyboard community in this region. The new distribution centre will handle the processing and packing of the online side of the business and The Bodyboard Depot will better equipped to serve Bodyboarders across the globe.
In further news, the Newquay shop will be relocating to the Adams Surf Shop further down the road and nearer to the heart of Newquay. As well as a new premise, the Depot will be increasing opening hours and with the online side of the business moving to Bournemouth, it will allow Rob Barber and the team to concentrate on Bodyboard weekends, coaching and international Bodyboard holidays from the current Headland Road site. There is also the promise of an extended range of Bodyboard products aimed solely at the UK, including 2 new boards – the ‘Bomb’ and the ‘Dynamite’.
You can read the full Bodyboard Depot news release here, where you will also be able to sign up for a regular newsletter and in doing so save £15 on a Bodyboard coaching weekend. All that is left to say is congratulations to Rob and the Bodyboard Depot team and we look forward to checking out the new store.
