With barely enough time to unpack the boards from the Rip Curl Pro the WSL World Tour moves on to the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro and after what has been a fairly average start to the season, things look set to get a lot more exciting. The current forecast for the Drug Aware Pro, which gets underway on April the 15th is for surf possibly peaking at around 20 feet. After watching the first two events play out in head high waves we could be about to witness the pros tackle Margs at three to five times overhead!
Margaret River is always an entertaining stop on the tour and a favourite with spectators and competitors alike. Both Michael Bourez and Carissa Moore will be looking to defend their 2014 wins at Margaret River, but the big conditions are likely to suit the likes of John John Florence, Kelly Slater and Joel Parkinson. The big guns are being waxed and prepped right now!
The waiting period for the Drug Aware Pro is from the 15th of April to the 26th and with the expected forecast, hopefully the comp will run without breaks, and you will be able to watch it all unfold at the WSL official site. Are you excited to see huge conditions for Margaret River and who can you see shining in the big stuff?
