We love featuring news reports of kids who are ripping at surfing or who are frothing and thriving on the sport and the latest story we bring you features young Alana Lopez who has been out tandem surfing with her dad Cory Lopez, in quite an unorthodox style. The clip shows little Alana clinging to her dad, piggy back style as he paddles into the waves and jumps up with Alana hanging on, before he then supports her weight with his arm.
Alana is quite clearly stoked and the smile on her face will definitely melt your heart as she enjoys the surf with her Dad. There will no doubt be some who will have reservations as Alana isn’t wearing any buoyancy aids but she is in safe hands with Cory, who has previously won the Billabong Pro at Teahupoo, the U.S Open of Surfing and has previously been the Number 1 ranked surfer on the ASP World Tour.
You can see the delightful and adorable clip below this article, and we challenge you not to smile or say “ah” as you watch! Have you ever taken the kids out for a tandem surf with you and do you think it is good to get the kids into the ocean as early as possible?
