Only last week we brought you an article trying to dispel some of the myths that Inflatable Paddleboards are bulky, cumbersome and slightly bendy. The video we used to highlight how practical inflatable Paddleboards can be, featured a crew from Fanatic taking their boards for a flatwater paddle around Hamburg. Today we bring you a couple of videos showing just how well the inflatable Sup can work on waves too.
Both videos feature Fanatic Pro team rider Glyn Ovens, riding the 9’0” Fanatic Fly Air 2014 model, and as Glyn puts the board through it’s paces, any misconceptions you may have about the durability and strength of air filled boards will quickly be removed. In the first video from TRONIC.PRO Glyn, pumps and drives the board along the waist high waves and demonstrates just how manoeuvrable these boards can be. With the brilliant “Thrill Me Up” by The Toasters, it is a perfect 2-minute clip
The second video shows Glyn pumping up his board and setting up the fins before paddling out into a lovely little lefthander, where he hang five’s and demonstrates again how easy it is to turn these boards and how strong they are as well.
You will find both videos below this article for you to study and check out just how well inflatable boards can work. Feel free to tell us about your experiences with inflatable Paddleboards and do you think there is a place for one in your quiver?
