We have been given the heads up on a brilliant new film called Edges Of Sanity and felt it only fair to share it with our Surf Report followers. The movie has been directed by Chris McClean and the 8-minute movie is a moody and sullen tribute to cold water Surfing and the brave warriors who embrace the frigid waters.
Produced by Finisterre, the film really draws you in and watching it I could feel the cold flush of water down my neck and the numbness in my toes, and boy did I want a piece of the action! As well as the stirring soundtrack, the clip also features the narration of a poem by Dan Crockett.
The more astute of you may recognise the voice of the narrator as that of Charles Dance, and his tones sound as shallow and gravelly as some of the waves in the clip. The film is a brilliant showcase of cold water surfing and great to see the rubber clad Surfers having an absolute blast. Make sure you go and grab a blanket or onesie to keep the chills away as you check out the video below and let us know if you are a cold water warrior or do you prefer to watch cold water slabs breaking on screen?
