What could be more fun than heading out for a Paddleboard with up to seven of your pals? – I don’t mean all on individual boards, but all clambering on and sharing one huge board. The new Fly Air XL from Fanatic, will allow you to do just that, the SUP is big enough to take a crew on, and for us, just oozes fun.
The inflatable 17′ board, has a volume of 1600 litres and is tough enough to carry up to 8 people. The size and volume of the board, makes it an ideal candidate for families to play on, for SUP schools to take beginners out to show them the ropes, or for a bunch of friends to just have fun with.
Thanks to V-drop Stitch Technology and Tarpaulin PVC railbands, layers and stringer, the Fly Air XL can be inflated to a maximum 12 psi and is more than capable of supporting multiple Paddleboarders. The board is supplied with 2 pumps, to make inflating as easy and quick as possible and when the session is over, the SUP deflates rapidly to enable a quick pack down. The Fly Air XL has been designed by SUP stalwarts C4 Waterman and also features stainless steel “D” rings for lashing points and is fitted with multiple grab handles around the rails.
The Fanatic Fly range of boards have a proven track record in the market and the include boards for touring, racing and all round riding. The news of this great looking board has only just broken and we are currently struggling to find a price for the Fly Air XL, as soon as we can confirm a recommended retail price we will let our followers know.
The official Fanatic Fly Air XL video can be found below this article and shows just how much of a blast can be had on the board. Feel free to let us know if you are aware of the retail price for the Fly Air XL and if you would like to to try the giant SUP or if you are a family like the Von Trapps that would enjoy the thrill of Paddleboarding?
