After surfing to the World Title last year using the FCS II fin system, Gabriel Medina is quite clearly happy with his choice of fins. In what is said to be a multi year deal, it has been revealed that Gabriel has resigned to FCS and will now be using 100% FCS Hardware as he defends his world title and later in the year we will even see a range of Gabriel Medina Signature gear. The new deal will not only see Medina using the FCS system and fins, but also accessories, leashes, luggage and board bags.
Gabriel has been working in conjunction with FCS and has developed a signature traction pad and signature FCS II fins, which we will see come to market later this year. FCS will also be launching their new FCS Traction range, and we expect to see them hit the shelves in the southern hemisphere in September 2015, whilst the northern hemisphere will get them in March 2016. The FCS Traction pads will be released in 2 categories, the Athlete (with surfer specific features) and the Essential Series, that will consist of 3 templates to fit most surfboard tail templates.
As yet the Medina FCS Signature gear is being kept under wraps but as soon as we hear anything we will bring you further news on his traction pad and fins. In the meantime you can sign up for a regular FCS newsletter and find out more about the FCS system and products here. Are you excited to see exactly what Gabriel has conjured up with FCS and are you currently using the FCS II system?
