Fiddling about with a screw and plate when changing longboard fins can be one of the most frustrating things going, especially with ice cold and numb finger tips. A new fin from FCS can now completely alleviate the need to ever struggle with fin swaps ever again. The FCS II Tool-Less Longboard fin takes just a few seconds to insert or remove and even allows you to be able to make subtle position adjustments mid surf.
The technology used is exactly the same as the FCS II that has been around for some time and carried many of the worlds best to tour wins and even world titles. The World Longboard champion Harley Ingleby actually won his second title whilst testing the new Tool-Less Longboard fins, that use a corrosion resistant titanium pin and a wear resistant barrel housed at the base of the fin, which cleverly lock into the fin box.
To accompany the news of the Tool-Less Fin, FCS have also developed a new longboard fin range called the Essential series which is comprised of three models the CONNECT, FLOW and PIVOT. The three fin templates are designed to compliment different styles of longboard surfing, from laid-back surfing, nose riding or for high performance high line surfing. The best part about the Tool-Less LB fin is that it fits most existing fin boxes, so you can start using them immediately and they will also be SUP compatible too.
