The GoPro Hero 4 has a rumored release date of October 15th, which came after a number of leaks including a flyer revealing both the retail sale date and main specifications.
We’ve included a tweet with the full screen flyer below. This also includes the text “GoPro HD Hero4 Silver” and that the action camera will be available from “the 15th October”. We highlighted the rumored specs last week, but since then a lot more information arrived and what some blogs are calling “the full scoop”.

One such blog is PetaPixel. This website has been correct a lot more often than not, as such they are trusted by thousands with over 250K on Facebook and nearly 200K followers on Twitter.
Their article mentions what a lot of us already know in regard to a built-in touch display and 4K video recording at 30FPS, but they also bring to the table what seems to be a full list of features. Most noticeable among these is built-in touch and 4K 30FPS recording not being in the one device, and will be featuring in two versions with “HERO4 Silver” and “HERO4 Black”.
Take a look at the PetaPixel article that features the full GoPro HD Hero 4 specs list and what seems to be official photos. You should note this information comes after the author was given a full spec sheet and product photos.
We are yet to get official confirmation of the GoPro HD Hero 4 Silver and Black release date, although we still feel confident with October 15th being the date, especially considering the above source mentions a October 8th announcement.
