Mystic have this week announced the signing of the 2012 Women’s World Champion and Kitesurf ambassador, Jalou Langeree to the team. Growing up in the Netherlands, Jalou started freestyle kiting from the age of 12 and gained multiple international titles, before getting the bug for waveriding. As part of Team Mystic, Jalou will not only be representing the brand in competition but will also be collaborating with Mystic to improve the women’s lifestyle and waterwear collections.
Jalou is a great role model and is set on making the male dominated sport of Kitesurfing more accessible to women and has said “I ‘m extremely excited to be riding for Mystic, It’s such a young and quick growing brand with big plans for the future and I’m happy to be a part of it.” Jalou is competing in the 2015 Virgin World Kitesurfing Championships and has already had a superb start to the season, taking the win at the first stop of the tour in Dakhla, Morocco.
You can check out Jalou in action in the video embedded beneath this article, which shows exactly why Mystic are so pleased to welcome her to the team. We look forward to watching how Jalou progresses during the 2015 season and checking out the improved women’s collection at Mystic. Feel free to congratulate Jalou below and are there any improvements you can suggest for women’s kitesurf equipment and clothing?
