Brad Domke is slowly working his way through all the big waves on the planet and can now tick off Jaws as one of the XXL waves he has surfed on his skimboard after catching a few waves on a solid northwest swell this week. The session at Peahi was mobbed with all manner of wave riding craft, but it was Brad that grabbed all the attention as he pushed his finless board to the limit in Maui.
As if trying to control a skimboard in gigantic and windy conditions wasn’t hard enough in the first place, Brad also had to contend with a windsurfer dropping in on him, but for his efforts he has now found himself nominated for the WSL 2016 Billabong Ride of the Year. Brad is already well known for his previous heroics, after conquering the other big wave spots of Teahupoo, Puerto Escondido, Nazare and The Right.
The clip of Brad in action at Jaws can been seen beneath this article and we would love to hear what other waves you think he should have a crack at on his skimboard. Isn’t it about time we saw Brad bring his skimboard circus to Aileens?
