We love to cover almost everything surfing related at Surf Report, so naturally this also includes surf board games and this is especially the case when we spot Kickstarter projects. Those of you that don’t know much about Kickstarter, it’s basically a way for people to help fund creative projects that they really want to see make it to mainstream production.
The Island Surf game is one such Kickstarter project that’s currently well under its $12,000 funding goal. Tyler Tinsley has 47 backers at the time of writing, although he needs to raise just under another $10,000 with 18 days to go before this Kickstarter meets its deadline.
There’s a number of aspects to the Island Surf game that sees 2-6 people ride a wave of marbles. The estimated time for a game is around 30 minutes, so it doesn’t have to last the length of some games like Monopoly. This means it could be perfect for a quick game when time is short, and copies are being given to those that pledge to support the project.
Do you think this surf board game can be a success? The image below lists in detail what components are included with Island Surf for the Toy Pack, Travel Set, Big Kahuna, and of course the complete package.
You can see a video below this article revealing the basic components and an animation above. If you want to see a full game play video, then take a look at this Kickstarter page for just that or visit the project page to get the full details on how this game works.
