Mick Fanning is riding high on a wave of success at the moment, not only taking the win at the Rip Curl Pro in Peniche last week, but is also eyeing a back to back World Tour title and currently well in contention sitting in second place before the Pro’s head to Pipe in December. Mick’s powerful Surfing with arcing cutbacks and snappy off the lips, is helped by his FCS II Signature fins, and the good news is that they are now available for us all to try to emulate White Lightning.
The FCS II Mick Fanning fins are available in medium and large and come as a thruster set, retailing at around $120/£90. The fins are crafted to allow rapid rail to rail transitions and quick changes in direction when gunning it. With a stiff flex, the thinner than usual fin gives exceptional drive and bite in long sweeping turns.
To see the fins in greater detail and to hear Mick Fanning talking about how impressed he has been with them from the outset of testing, check out the two videos below. Further information can be found at the FCS website, where you can also purchase a set of Mick Fanning Signature FCS II fins. Are any of you using the FCS II system yet and if so, what do you think?
