Back in October 2013 Mike Stewart and Tom Rigby embarked on a promotional tour around the UK, culminating with a few days stop over on the Emerald Isle. Luckily for us, Science Bodyboards have now released a short video of the visit to Ireland and not only is it a joy to watch, the clip is also narrated by Mike Stewart himself.
The clip, filmed and edited by Peter Clyne, is beautifully shot and shows Mike and Tom enjoying the delights that Ireland has to offer, while carried along on a dreamy Irish tune called Fly by Brian Finnegan. In his gentle, humble way, Mike tells how he has always longed to visit Ireland and how he always travels with an open mind and never researches the destination too much before arriving.
There seems to be a tinge of disappointment over the quality of waves during the trip, but I know how poor the waves were on the first day of their UK visit and by comparison the waves in the video are positively pumping! Not all about waves and tricks, the film also shows the lads during some of the downtime, enjoying a hill climb and sampling the delights of Guinness for the first time.
Footage of Tom and Mike is also mixed in with some of the locals and there are appearances from Shambles McGoldrick, Shane Meehan as well as Cornish rider Sam Brabyn. The video of the trip is embedded below, take five minutes out and lose yourself in this delightful edit. The trip certainly left an impression on Mike as he states he cannot wait to get back to Ireland. Let us know if you managed to meet up with Tom and Mike during their recent visit.
