For those of you old enough to remember George Greenough and his futuristic and very trippy 1970’s video, Crystal Voyager, or you young gun’s that are down with it and have managed to immerse yourself in Georges work, you will be impressed to know that his influence lives on and has been emulated with an equally impressive, if not a little strange clip that has hit the internet this week. As with the original Crystal Voyager this short video called Moving Water uses the subliminal Pink Floyd for it’s soundtrack.
The film has been put together by Shane McGregor and features a mix of views from inside the barrel, a few selfie Bodysurfing shots and some crazy breakwater frothy barrels that play out in fantastic slow mo. Set to Pink Floyd’s, Welcome To the Machine, this is a really refreshing little clip that breaks a few boundaries and goes against the norm, and we quite like that.
So go and dig your hookah out from under the stairs, get your chores done and put the kids to bed and loose yourself in this wonderfully weird video for 6 minutes and when it’s finished I would seriously recommend starting right back at the beginning again! Let us know if you are a fan of these off the wall video clips or would you prefer to see riding and waves filmed from a beach or cliff?
