To showcase and test their Tangent watch, Nixon handed one over to Mark Cunningham who has been putting it through its paces during a Bodysurf session at Tower 26. Mark is not only the holder of multiple Pipeline Bodysurfing Classic titles, but is also an accomplished surfer and one of the most respected Lifeguards to have ever worked the North Shore, and spent 18 years as a lifeguard at Pipeline.
Mark is credited with saving hundreds of lives and is thought by many to be the best Bodysurfer on the planet, who over the years has had many Bodysurf battles with fellow waterman and good friend Mike Stewart. It is easy to see why Nixon would entrust their Tangent watch with someone like Mark Cunningham.
The tangent watch itself is waterproof to a depth of 200 meters and features a Swiss made 3 hand quartz movement, set in a stainless steel case. With a steel link strap and analog tide function, the Tangent is an ideal choice for life in, on and out of the water and is available in 3 finishes – Black, Matte Black and All Black.
