Let’s face it, Cancer sucks the fat one. We have all been affected by the evil of Cancer in one way or another and we all wish we could do something that might help to one day bring an end of the vicious disease. Well now you paddleboarders have a chance to make a difference, by taking part in the SUP For Cancer event on the River Itchen in Southampton on the 5th of June 2016.
The format is simple, all you need to do, is turn up paddle. The idea is to raise money towards Cancer research and you can play your part by choosing to SUP along a predetermined course. There will be 3 different length courses open to participants, the ‘Short’, ‘Long’ and ‘Enduro’ all of which will start and finish at the SWAC (Southampton Outdoor Activity centre) and are 3km, 6km and 12km respectively. There will be many other fun activities on offer throughout the day and the SWAC Centre offers decent facilities and plenty of parking.
SUP For Cancer is open to all ages and abilities and everyone is welcome to attend and get involved. Full details regarding registration, cost, entry and times are to follow but you can stay in the loop by liking and following the SUP For Cancer Facebook Page and checking in at the official website here. So make a note in the diary for the 5th of June and we will see you there?
