One of the finest longboard videos of this year has worked its way into the Surf Report office this weekend and it is too good not to share. Featuring Californian Pro Longboarder Mick Rodgers showing off on his new “Mick Rodgers” Bing Surfboard, the 3-minute clip is well worth a look.
Whilst the waves are by no means big, Mick makes the absolute most of every one of them and his laid back, super chilled style is a delight to watch. There is no point during the video that Mick stands idle on his board, he is moving 100 percent of the time as he glides up and down his board.
Almost like a ballet dancer, Mick is mesmerising to watch as he tip toes and pirouettes his way from nose to tail in the dreamy sun kissed Californian waves. Skipping between laid back turns and beautiful nose tricks, Mr Rodgers demonstrates longboarding of the highest order and has already got me planning my next session in the water!
Take your brain out for a few minutes and chillax to this heady little edit and be sure to let us know what you think of Mick Rodgers board riding skills.
