Have you ever been stuck at work, knowing the waves are pumping and your wetsuit is hanging on the line at home, and by the time you go and get your gear, the swell will have dropped? Well not any more, because Quiksilver Japan have released a range of Wetsuits called True, that are as smart as a business suit, but just as useful as a wetsuit! Now you can go surfing straight from the office in the suit you have been wearing all day!
The thought behind the ‘out there’ concept is that Japanese men are working too hard and spending far too much time in the office, while they should be out having fun. The True Wetsuits are made to order for around 300 000 Japanese Yen (£1685), with a tie included! Available in 3 different styles, navy, black and tuxedo, the trousers and jacket made from 2mm neoprene and the shirt from 4 way stretch Dryflight fabric – the same material Quiksilver make boardshorts from.
A video is embedded below showing the functionality of the True Wetsuit both in and out of the water and you can read the official press release in full here. We would love to hear your thoughts on the new True Wetsuits from Quiksilver, do you think they could catch on, are they way too much money and wouldn’t you get a bit sweaty and smell a bit funky sat at work in a wetsuit all day?
