Ramon Navarro, swaps big waves for barrels and bodysurfing in astonishing video.

Ramon Navarro is well known for his big wave Surfing exploits and growing up as the son of a fisherman, he has an affinity with the ocean and is someone who is truly in tune with the water around him. Although a regular at big wave events and known for his conservation work to protect the coast around Chile, he is not necessarily someone you would think of as a trick guru. Well certainly not until you see the video embedded below.

In the featured clip, Ramon shows exactly how at one he is with the ocean and demonstrates amazing strength and discipline when he gets knocked from his board. The clip starts with him tucking into a barrel that many of us would dream of snagging, as if this wasn’t enough he soon ducks under the lip of a second tube, which closes down on him.

Forcing his way through the collapsed lip, Ramon finds himself pushed from his board and instinctively makes his body rigid and bodysurfs just inside the pocket. By sheer coincidence his board, bounces around in the foam and Ramon is able to collect it again, whilst bodysurfing and then after pulling the board back beneath him springs back to his feet.

Even the person recording the incredible moment can’t believe what he is seeing! The clip has been shared by EpicTV and even they pose the question as to whether this is a fake, but I can’t see how or why it would be? Why would someone who is revered for his adventures in big waves need to run a fake video of himself in chest high waves? Make sure you take a look at the video below and please give us your thoughts on this brilliant moment?
