Although due to start on the 25th of January the Red Bull King of the Air 2014 is currently on hold and the invited riders are on standby. The event is due to run anytime between now and 9th of February at Big Bay, Cape Town, South Africa.
As soon as conditions are favourable for the single day event the 24 elite riders will battle it out to be crowned champ. The UK has two representatives in the competition, Aaron Hadlow and Sam Light, who will be going up against riders from all across the globe including a heavy contingency of riders from Germany, South Africa and The Netherlands.
Competitors will battle through two rounds for a chance of making the semi final or a direct pass into the final. The final will feature 4 riders battling it out in a 22-minute heat. Expect to see some ridiculously high airs, loops and megarolls and undoubtedly some high-speed wipeouts, as the participants push each other to take the Red Bull King of Air Title.
