Red Paddle Co have released the second video in their White Board Wednesday series and this week they are showing us how to remove the valve from their inflatable paddleboards. Removing the valve in your inflatable SUP is essential for cleaning and inspection and should be carried out periodically, and as the clip shows it is a straightforward and quick and easy process.
John Hibbard, one of the founders of Red Paddle Co takes us through the process. After making sure the board is deflated you simply remove the dust cap from the valve and fit the valve spanner from your repair kit into the valve and wind out in an anti clockwise direction. Refitting is simply a reverse of the process just making sure you apply gentle force to engage the threads.
The White Board Wednesday series of videos are released by Red Paddle Co every fortnight and are aimed at guiding you through the many questions and pitfalls paddleboarding can throw up. You can subscribe to the regularly video releases at the Red Paddle Co YouTube channel and if you have any pressing questions let us know and we will put them to Red Paddle Co to address.
