With the Rip Curl Search GPS watch you are going to be able to connect with surfers in a totally new way, which starts with setting up a Search App profile for connecting with others. This application will let users connect with surfing mates, compare stats with them, and also connect with the professionals as well.
The app includes features designed to help users connect and compete with other surfers. This might include setting up a club for your next surf trip, or even to compete with friends and family. There’s a lot of insight given within the app, and this includes seeing where your friends surf and how often they hit the surf.
You can watch a video clip below that details exactly what you can expect from the Rip Curl Search GPS watch and the community capabilities. The stats you can register in the app include top speed, distance, wave counts for each session, and more along with location maps and graphic charts.
Will you be joining the first global surfing community that’s socially-connected? We first thought this insight might not go down too well, especially if you have a few secret spots, although we then noticed a feature to keep these private spots secret.
We’ll be sure to keep Surf Report readers informed about Rip Curl’s release date for their Search GPS watch, although they are yet to reveal this at the time of writing. Watch the video below to learn more about the community capabilities and then share a comment.
