Sabre Norris is a girl who has it all. Not only does she have a really cool name, she is just 11 years old, an amazingly talented surfer, hilariously funny and has been awarded a wildcard entry to the WSL Sydney International Pro by Sally Fitzgibbons. It is not only Sally that the diminutive Aussie ripper can count as her friend; she has also been receiving mentoring and tips from Mick Fanning.
In an interview with the Today Show, Sabre has the hosts of the programme in stitches as she innocently ribs her Dad for letting his athlete body go downhill, eating 2 litres of ice cream a day and explains that even if she finishes in last place in the comp, she will scoop $250 and would like to spend the winnings on doughnuts! Not only will the interview make your day, Sabre’s surfing skills will blow your mind.
It is no wonder Sally Fitzgibbons chose Sabre to get the wildcard slot when you see her effortlessly chucking her board into airs and surfing switch on waves as big as her.
Make sure you watch the hilarious interview below, even the most hardened of our followers will not be able to resist cracking a smile!
