Day four of Boardmasters 2014 is certainly turning into an action packed one and we will be working hard to spread ourselves around the Festival. After a late finish last night and an enjoyable evening taking in the talents of Chase and Status who were on fire, we have taken the opportunity to make our way to Fistral to enjoy some of the Surfing and Skateboarding battles that have be going down at Newquays main beach.
Highlights for today have been watching the Surfing Events and the BMX final at the skate ramp on Fistral Hill, which was packed out and eagerly watched. I particularly enjoyed checking in at the Keg and Pasty for a session with The Scarecrows and am looking forward to the headline act on the main Stage and seeing Snoop Dog AKA Snoop Lion impress the crowd with his snizzle.
Fistral has been heaving not only at the Skate, Surfing and BMX events but with the thousands of revellers and families who have flocked to check out the retail village which offers everything from Surf and Skate goods to Surfers Against Sewage providing a raffle and the RNLI who not only do a fantastic job but have a great VW Camper kitted out to promote their work. For some reason the GlideSoul stand was attracting a lot of attention with their outdoor Pole dancers!
The Surf Report crew have also managed 2 Surfs today at South Fistral and the swell has been building all day and tomorrow promises to be a fantastic end to the Boardmasters 2014 when we will see the Open Surfing and the Longboard Final both climax in the building swell, and we are expecting to see some big Surf and exciting battles.
For tonight it is Snoop Dogg that is grabbing all the attention and the Watergate Festival site is heaving tonight with the extra fans who are in attendance. There is a definite buzz in the air and of the visitors we have spoken to throughout the day, Snoop Dogg is the reason many are here. Surf Report will be mixing it up when Snoop hits the stage and we will be sure to let you know if he Drops It Like its Hot. Right we need to get out and amongst it so we will sign off for now and report back tomorrow. If you are at the festival let us know what has been your highlight and what other acts you are aiming to see before close of play tomorrow?
