New York State is currently being beseeched by an arctic storm that has sent temperatures plummeting and brought the onslaught of some deadly snow storms. New York has received 5ft of snow and the city of Buffalo is bracing itself for a possible dumping of up to 6ft. However, its not all bad news, as a couple of hardcore surfers battled the conditions and managed to bag a few waves down at Lake Erie in North America.
Lake Erie is the 4th largest of the Great Lakes, and yesterday Kevin Cullen and his surfing buddy suited up from head to toe in rubber and ventured out into the blizzard conditions to make the most of the conditions thrown up by the storm. Although the waves weren’t exactly pumping, the dedication and commitment shown by the pair certainly gets our respect.
We have surfed with snow on the beach before, it was nasty, but the conditions were far more favourable than those faced by New York State yesterday. The video of these intrepid adventurers can be found below. Let us know if you have ever Surfed during a snowstorm and is there any thickness of wetsuit that would make you keen enough to join these two?
