Filmmaker Sonny “Harold” Miller has passed away just one week after his own mum. Sonny leaves us with many memories and great movies, but also someone that had an amazing sense of joy and social channels like Twitter and Instagram are filled with RIP messages.
We’ll forever remember the likes of The Big Bounce, his work on Die Another Day, and most importantly the documentary Riding Giants about the history of surf culture.
Surfer Rob Machado also left a message on his Instagram that you can see below with a photo and message stating, “RIP Sonny Miller… North county legend… You will be missed.”
You can also see a number of tweets being posting today, and we’ve featured a few of these below.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the big-hearted cinematographer Sonny Miller who sadly… http://t.co/nCSttRgKBP
