As the nights draw in and the days become colder it seems hard to believe that Starboard SUP UK have already got 2017 well and truly in their sights and are preparing to launch next years paddleboards. We are being promised plenty of improvements on existing SUP models as well as new innovations and a new board range.
Starting with the hardboard range, Starboard have taken their popular 2016 Touring boards and tweaked them to give more stability and efficiency, making exploring and distance paddling easier. If wave riding is your thing, the swallow tailed Hyper Nut board is well worth checking out. Available in a range of sizes from 6’9” to 9’0” and with it’s wide nose and inverted nut rail, it is a fast reactive board that allows for tight turns and racy acceleration. For those looking for a progressive stable board that can be used for cruisy paddling as well as for fun in smaller waves then the Wide Point range is a must.
Starboard have also been working on their Inflatable range of paddleboards and are using two brand new construction techniques for their Zen and Deluxe boards. Catering for entry level all round paddlers the Wide Point with Zen construction is sturdy, lightweight and features new Flex Fins. SUP surfers who like to travel will appreciate the inflatable 7’8” Hyper Nut which is easy to lug about but offers enthralling performance on the wave.
The 2017 Starboard SUP and paddle range is huge and the full collection can be seen at the official website HERE.
