2015 will bring the launch of a new surf brand aimed solely at the “grom” market and will include a range of surfboards, shaped by an industry legend – Tom Morey. The brand is called Surf Ratz and will be officially launched at Surf Expo later this month. As well as offering a range of clothing and accessories, Surf Ratz will also offer surfboards shaped by Tom Morey, two App games and launching in February a bi-monthly digital comic.
The Surf Ratz are a bunch of highly skilled surfing rodents from Rat Island, who promote ocean awareness, sun protection, surf safety and the joy of surfing. The creators of Surf Ratz are tapping into the grom market by offering a vivid range of boards and equipment made specifically for the younger generation and aimed at rippers between the ages of 6 and 14 years.
The two Surf Ratz Apps games will be available for free on both Android and iOS devices and are set to launch alongside the subscription App digital comic, featuring animated adventures and japes in early 2015.
