Deciding to get married is one of the biggest decisions you are ever likely to make, so if you are going to pop the question, you might as well do it in style. That is exactly what Peter Abell did, when he proposed to his girlfriend Angie de Burgh, whilst riding his surfboard on the Severn Bore!
Peter is a keen surfer and a surf instructor at a Cornish surf school, so it only seems right that he should propose to his future wife whilst indulging in his passion and the moment was captured by a camera mounted to the front of his board. Riding his surfboard on bended knee, Peter produced the engagement ring and popped the question to Angie who was riding her own board to his left. Angie said yes and it is fair to say Peter was pretty stoked as the two of them continued to ride the Gloucestershire river wave hand in hand!
The video of the unique surfing proposal is embedded beneath this article, and although you can’t clearly hear the words being spoken, the emotion and excitement is plain to see. Do you and your partner enjoy surfing together and what do you think of this unusual wetsuit clad wedding proposal?
