An interesting new concept called Swell Crate aimed at the Surfing market has been launched and is currently seeking funding via Kickstarter. Swell Crate is a subscription based box service that will deliver surf related goods direct to your door 4 times a year. The idea is the brainchild of John Peabody and Swell Crate aims to bring you essential surf products that you can use and enjoy both in and out of the water.
The Swell Crate will contain items such as socks, wax, ding repair kits, sunscreen and fin keys and will be delivered at the turn of each season, with the contents being geared to suit each season. John is hoping to raise $6500 to get the Swell Crate off the ground, and with 17 days to go the present funding raised sits at $742 from 9 backers.
You can get involved with the Swell Crate campaign, with a pledge of just $12, which will get you some stickers and an instagram follow. A pledge of $45 will allow you to get your hands on a Swell Crate and $176 will secure a years worth of Swell Crates delivered to your door.
To see further information on the Swell Crate idea and the current crowd funding campaign, head over to the official kickstarter page here and make sure you register your interest at Swell Crate. Whilst we like the idea of Swell Crate, the only reservation we have is making sure the goodies remain fresh and relevant, there is only a certain amount of fin keys any surfer will ever need.
Let us know if you like the idea of Swell Crate and if it is something you would appreciate being subscribed to as a Christmas or Birthday present? What sort of products would you like to see included in the Swell Crate?
