After what seems like a lifetime, the long awaited movie Thundercloud is finally available to download and watch through iTunes. The feature length documentary lays bare the events that followed the cancellation of the Volcom Fiji Pro in 2012 and details the session that went down with some of the best surfers in the world on what was one of the best swells to ever hit Cloudbreak.
Thundercloud has collected many international accolations, including the Surfer Awards 2014 Documentary of the Year and Best Action Feature at the Maui International Film Festival and now for the first time you can download and watch this HD epic in the comfort of your living room. The documentary was filmed, edited and and produced by Talon Clemow of One Palm Media and took three years to bring to fruition as Talon became a father for the first time and faced the decision that finishing the film could mean selling the family home.
Some of the surfers featured include Kelly Slater, Greg Long, Grant “Twiggy” Baker and Mick Fanning – some who were there to compete in the cancelled Fiji Pro and others that rushed to Cloudbreak in the hope of catching Cloudbreak at it’s very best. The 2-hour documentary not only includes remarkable footage from this historic session, but also lifts the lid on the history and story behind Tavarua and the previously restricted Cloudbreak.
Thundercloud is available to download here in High Definition, either for rent for £4.99 or to buy for £9.99. Have you seen the feature length documentary yet and have you ever been lucky enough to visit Fiji and surf Cloudbreak?
