Tom Carroll doesn’t really need any introduction, the winner of 2 Surfing world titles and three time winner at the Pipeline event, has been a regular on the surfing scene ever since his first appearance at a Pipe Master final in 1979. The first surfer to bag a million dollar contract and voted into the top ten Greatest Surfers Of All Time at Surfer Magazine, Tom has now released his own line of Stand Up Paddleboards.
Using the years of wave riding experience and ocean knowledge Tom has under his belt, he has worked with shaper, Blane Chambers to bring a range of SUP boards to the marketplace. There are two models currently available, the Loose Leaf and the Long Grain. The Loose Leaf is available in 5 sizes from 8’0 to 9’6 and is aimed at performance wave riding, whereas the Long Grain is available in two sizes a 10’4” and 11’0 and suits a longboard style of wave riding more.
To accompany the release of the TC SUP boards, there is also a video of Tom demonstrating his boards and showing exactly why he has the authority to release his own Paddleboard range. To find a dealer or to glean more information regarding the individual boards designs, fin set ups, volumes and sizes, see the Global Surf Industries website. You can see Tom Carroll demonstrating his SUP Boards in the video below. Do you put more faith in Paddleboards designed by pro surfers and have any of you tried out any of the new TC SUP range yet?
