Monday 6th of June will see the return of the Red Bull Cape Fear surf contest following the announcement today that event organiser Mark Mathews has given the contest the green light. The forecast is said to be the best since 2001 with perfect winds set to tickle a massive swell, and you will be able to watch every glorious moment via a live stream on Red Bull TV.
The Red Bull Cape Fear is a unique contest that pits 16 of the worlds best slab riders against each other as they take on the incredible wave at Cape Solander, Sydney, which break over the shallow razor like reef and into a cliff. The contest is also unique in the fact that the surfers go head to head in one on one battles and have to compete in both tow in and paddle disciplines of the sport.
The action at the Cape Fear will be getting underway from 10am AEST (1AM GMT) on Monday the 6th and you can follow all excitement from what is considered by Mark Mathews as the heaviest and most dangerous wave in the world at Red Bull TV here. As well as the live feed we are also promised multi camera angles and GoPro footage direct from the surfers out in the line-up, its going to be a belter!
